City of Fayetteville Offers New Online Giving Option for Help a Neighbor and Ranger’s Pantry Funds

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — In this season of giving, the City of Fayetteville has set up a simple method for community members to donate online to assist low-income Fayetteville residents, and their pets, who are in need. Two funds are available.

The Help a Neighbor Fund provides one-time monetary assistance during a financial crisis that could cause a major change in an individual or family’s life stability. The fund assists individuals residing in Fayetteville. In the past 6 months, the City of Fayetteville’s Community Resources Division has distributed over $3,000 from the Help a Neighbor Fund to help city residents with necessary expenses such as transportation, utilities, rent, food or medical expenses. Assistance of this type allows families to remain in their homes, travel to work, and keep food on their tables during difficult times.

Ranger’s Pantry Pet Food Bank is a project of the Community Resources division, designed to keep families during times of financial hardship by providing pet food to Fayetteville residents.

The City of Fayetteville’s Community Resources Division is now accepting online donations for these programs. To contribute, visit www.fayetteville-ar.gov/donations and make a donation of $5 or more using a credit or debit card. Inkind donations of dog and cat food are also accepted and can be dropped off at the Community Resources Division office, located at 125 W. Mountain St, or at any one of the City of Fayetteville Fire Stations.

As always, these services are made possible through the generosity of local citizens, and all proceeds are used to benefit Fayetteville residents in need.

For more information about Ranger’s Pantry Pet Food Bank, the Help a Neighbor Fund, or any other Community Resources programs, visit www.fayetteville-ar.gov/community, or feel free to call (479) 575-8260, or email the division at community_resources@fayetteville-ar.gov.
