FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.— The City of Fayetteville invites you to join Mayor Lioneld Jordan for a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the new Rotary Playground at Kessler Mountain Regional Park. The event is at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, at the playground location on Judge Cummings Road, off Cato Springs Road just south of the I-49 intersection. This event is free and open to the public.
The Rotary Club of Fayetteville raised $155,000 to assist the City in building this premiere playground. Play By Design from Tulsa Oklahoma constructed the playground. The equipment was manufactured by Themed Concepts and consists of custom hand-sculpted and hand-painted glass fiber reinforced concrete formed into rocks, trees, and wildlife animals including an eagle, raccoon, squirrel, and rabbit. These realistic structures are designed to encourage children’s mental and physical activity through an eagerness to play and imagine. Fayetteville Parks and Recreation is excited to feature this durable and attractive equipment through this generous donation by the Rotary Club of Fayetteville.
Saturday’s celebration will include free food and free fun provided by the Rotary Club of Fayetteville with the assistance from the Arvest grill team in grilling and serving hot dogs and burgers to those in attendance. Please help celebrate this important contribution to the City of Fayetteville. Come play!
