Fire Department Announces Promotions

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.— Mayor Lioneld Jordan recently promoted Brad Hardin from Assistant Fire Chief to Fire Chief after the retirement of Chief David Dayringer. Positions then opened within all ranks of the fire department. For the past several months, firefighters have put their personal lives on hold to focus and prepare for the testing process. Every promotion within the department is a competitively tested position per rules established by the Civil Service Commission. The fire department administration recognizes the sacrifice each applicant made and thanks their families for their support; it is an honor and privilege to announce the following promotions:

Promotion to Driver/Operator

  • Joshua Harrison
  • Jacob Thompson
  • Evan Luther
  • Johnny Lovett

Promotion to Captain

  • Ryan Powers
  • Brian Wandstrat
  • Chris Reibert

Promotion to Battalion Chief
