Can I pick up a packet for another registered participant?: Yes, but please bring written proof that states you have permission to pick up another registered participant’s packet. Parks and Recreation - Race Series

1. How do I register for a Fayetteville Race Series event?: You can register online at http://fayetteville-ar.gov/recreation for any of our events and programs. There are specific registration dates for each event which are noted on the website. You can also sign up in person at the Fayetteville Parks & Recreation (FPR) office or by mailing a registration form and payment to the FPR office. Please note that most races may not have day of registration.

2. What is included in my race entry?: In addition to a supported course, we provide race bibs (with the exception fun rides / fun runs) and custom event swag (shirt, socks, beanies, etc), finisher medals, and access to event photos. Start/Finish areas will have water and/or sports drinks available for participants.

3. Can I get a refund on my race entry?: Sorry, but registrations are non-refundable. Registrations may be transferred to another race series event or to another individual, at the Race Director's discretion. Or, we are happy to get you your race packet goodies if you are unable to participate in the race for any reason.

4. Are your races beginner-friendly?: Absolutely! We encourage participants to be properly trained, but the course support and finish line will remain open until the last athlete crosses the finish line.

5. What can I expect to find at the start?: Starting areas will have restrooms and/or portable toilet units in addition to water, safety pins for race bibs, a copy of the course map, and volunteers to help answer any other last minute questions.

6. Can I wear headphones or listen to audio playing devices?: Headphones are allowed, but we encourage you to leave them at home and enjoy the sounds each event has to offer! Please be aware of your surroundings and stay attentive at all times as our courses will not be closed and there could be several street crossings depending on the event.

7. Are strollers allowed?: Strollers are allowed at our events however we encourage you to start at the back of the race for the safety of you and your child. Strollers will not be allowed in the Glow Run or the Frozen Toes Trail Race. Also, please consider the safety of your child when selecting the distance you race.

8. Are pets allowed?: Unfortunately, pets are not allowed to participate in our racing events. They can however, cheer for you along the way or meet you at the finish as long as you still adhere to our standard park/trail pet rules.

9. Will a race be cancelled or postponed due to weather?: We will always monitor weather changes, however, races will be held rain or shine. If inclement weather occurs, we will post any updates on our website, social media sites, FPR hotline, and Fayetteville Alert System. We will make decisions based on what is safe for our participants, volunteers and staff.

11. What will I find along the course?: Directional signage/markings, volunteers, water station(s), and (depending on the race) trailside entertainment such as local musicians, community groups, and businesses.

12. Can I volunteer to help?: Of course! No experience is needed and volunteering is a great way to be involved and learn more about running, cycling, and multi-sport events.
